Adapting in challenging times - Explorations and best practices from a top school group in Australia
In February 2020, the leadership at Brisbane Catholic Education network of schools in Brisbane Australia was contemplating a normal year of technology change in their group of 145 schools, 77,000 students and over 12,000 teachers, administrators, and other staff. They had a roadmap for change and were a good way in, moving much of their technology to the cloud and making use of digital tools in classrooms and more. Their plan was for another 3 years to get all staff up-to-speed with digital and technology know-how.
But by March last year, all that changed as the group prepared to take their schools to online learning delivery. Today, Fiona Boyd - CEO and Co-founder of EdSmart - a digital administration platform for schools talks to Sharyn Creed - Manager of Information Technology and Learning Services and Allan Sheffield - Acting Manager School Information Services at Brisbane Catholic Education about this incredible journey and how they led, learned and adapted in this super-charged learning and change situation.
