Keynote: The education Exchange - Why independence in our classrooms starts in our board meetings

Gavin McCormack will explore how the revolution in education starts from putting independence at the forefront of every learning outcome.

He will discuss the impact of essential skills in the curriculum and how they play a crucial role in the positive impact that education will have on the future. School culture is something that influences the entire community and when autonomy and trust are modelled in the leadership teams of schools, these inevitably trickle through into the school curriculum. 'Schools should be a place where children develop the confidence to try, and the resilience to fail, and try again.'

Speaker: Gavin McCormack, Principal, Teacher Trainer, Chilren's author and Philanthropist, Farmhouse Montessori School
