Chairperson: Aubin Pereira - Head of Faculty, Dubai Scholars Private School

Aubin Pereira is the Faculty Head of Performing Arts at Dubai Scholars Private School, with 17 years of experience in teaching music and drama. Known for shifting from traditional musicals to inclusive performances that ensure every student shines on stage, Aubin has helped shape curriculum that develops both artistic talent and essential soft skills.

He is passionate about using the arts to build empathy, confidence, and collaboration, and champions student-led creativity and diverse performance opportunities. Alongside his teaching, Aubin is currently working toward becoming a certified coach, deepening his commitment to mentoring teachers and fostering creative leadership in education. He has previously spoken at GESS and led leadership conferences and PD sessions within his school.

 

Jan Horn - Chief Executive Officer, SAE University College

Jan Horn is an experienced leader in creative media education, currently serving as the CEO of SAE University College. With a strong background in developing industry-aligned academic programs, he has played a pivotal role in shaping student pathways into the global creative economy. Passionate about fostering innovation, industry collaboration, and skills development, Jan is dedicated to empowering the next generation of creative professionals. An educator at heart, Jan believes in providing quality education and pathways of development and support to students through strong industry relationships and collaboration.

 

SubIa Mojib - Professor at the American University in Dubai / RIT, Rochester Institute of Technology of Dubai

Subia Mojib is an academic leader, professor, educator, and visual artist dedicated to advancing critical thinking, innovation, and creative learning. Holding fine art degrees from Central Saint Martins and the Royal College of Art in London, she merges artistic vision with academic excellence to drive transformative education. As an adjunct professor at the American University in Dubai and the Rochester Institute of Technology Dubai, she has led future-focused initiatives that empower both students and faculty. Subia has chaired and presented at leading international conferences, advocating for smart education and interdisciplinary collaboration. Her work is rooted in building inclusive, imaginative, and impactful learning environments that shape the thinkers and creators of tomorrow.

 

Lynsay Ansell - Head of Drama, Hartland International School

Lynsay’s interest in Performing Arts began at a young age, when she enrolled in Ballet and Theatre Dance lessons. Throughout both primary and secondary school, she was heavily involved in school productions and extra-curricular activities such as trips and workshops. At 15 she was lucky enough to be involved in the National Theatre’s BT National Connections Programme for youth theatre and had a first taste of performing in a professional theatre. Having chosen GCSE and then A Level Drama, alongside languages and humanities, she eventually auditioned and gained a place to train in Theatre Studies at Hull University, Scarborough Campus. During this time, she worked with The National Student Drama Festival at the Scarborough Spa Complex and The Stephen Joseph Theatre and was part of the technical crew for Arts on Tour, which saw her working on performances for touring professional theatre companies. During her undergraduate degree course, she developed a particular interest in Physical Theatre and Children’s Theatre, as well as arts management and education. She went on to complete a PGCE in Drama at Leeds University. Lynsay has since taught Drama and Performing Arts courses to students in both primary and secondary, in the UK, Thailand and Dubai. She has a range of experience delivering LAMDA, GCSE, iGCSE, A Level, BTEC and IB syllabi, as well as directing and designing school productions. She believes passionately that providing a high-quality Performing Arts curriculum, as well as enrichment activities, is vital for both student wellbeing and attainment.
