Confident, Comfortable, Connected: The School Uniform as a Complete Wardrobe

A uniform is the one part of a school’s identity that every student wears every day. Ukrainian premium school uniform brand 2×2 comes to GESS Dubai and Education Investment MENA to show what changes when it is designed as a complete wardrobe.

Ask when a school uniform is really tested, and the answer is rarely the prospectus photograph. It is the long day in between: morning assembly, lessons, breaks outdoors, sport and the journey home. That is the day 2×2 designs for.

Founded in Ukraine in 2014, 2×2 has spent more than a decade dressing students at private schools, from their first school year to graduation, and today works with almost all of Ukraine’s private schools. Its international work is already under way: Trinity Private School in Cyprus runs a seasonal uniform and accessories programme with the brand. This November, 2×2 brings that experience to Dubai on two stands: E48 at GESS Dubai and P14 at Education Investment MENA, where the company is Gold Sponsor.

One wardrobe, one design logic

At the heart of both stands is the School Wardrobe System. Instead of choosing garments one by one, a school receives a full collection built on a single design logic: polos and shirts, blazers, sweatshirts, fleece layers, windbreakers, track trousers and shorts, and accessories. New pieces can be added season after season, even years later, and the wardrobe still reads as one family rather than a series of separate purchases.

What you see, and what you don’t

Visitors are invited to look beyond the finished garment. 2×2 keeps polyester at no more than 40% of the fabric composition, compared with the 65–70% common across the industry, so garments breathe through an active day and hold their shape. Patterns are tested on real children repeatedly before they go into production. The Two-Fit sizing system and built-in adjusters, including inner drawstrings and waist regulators in everyday trousers and skirts as well as in sportswear, help a uniform keep pace with a growing child.

Three words behind every collection

2×2 sums up its approach as confident, comfortable and connected. Confident, because how children feel in their clothes affects how they carry themselves. Comfortable, because a uniform has to work from the first bell to the last. Connected, because a shared, well-made uniform is a visible sign of belonging to a school community.

From brand book to first designs

Every project starts with the school itself. A brand book, or simply a logo and school colours, is enough for the 2×2 team to propose the first design options. Volumes and production are agreed individually, because no two schools order in the same way. The relationship continues after delivery: 2×2 stays in contact with every school it works with and remains responsible for the quality of every piece.

Who should visit

The stands are built for heads of school, principals and procurement teams at private and international schools, for school groups planning a new identity or a refresh, and for companies that supply uniforms in their local markets and are looking for a manufacturing partner.

On E48 and P14, the team will show finished garments, fabrics and construction details, along with examples of complete school wardrobes. Meetings can be booked in advance or arranged on the day, and uniform suppliers and distributors are welcome to discuss partnership formats for their markets. Founder Yevheniia Hryhorieva will also speak at the event, with a Product Showcase presentation and an armchair conversation in the EdInvest Room.
